Hoei, nog één volle werkweek te gaan in 2011 en dan gaan we zien hoe dat ook alweer zit met die Maya-kalender. Google vond het de moeite waard om te laten zien dat wij het jaar in beeld brachten als nooit te voren:

- Developers: We schreven er vorige week ook al over naar aanleiding van een artikel bij Forbes. Software development is waar de toekomst te vinden is volgens velen. En dat laat zich heel anders organiseren dan je denkt. Kijk maar eens bij Gun.io: “Software development is the ultimate post-industrial craft. - Maar gaan ze meer web-sites bouwen, of meer apps? George Colony van Forrester Research denkt het laatste:
- Dave Winer is het niet eens met George Colony, en denkt niet dat Apps de toekomst zijn, per se: “ The great thing about the web is linking. I don’t care how ugly it looks and how pretty your app is, if I can’t link in and out of your world, it’s not even close to a replacement for the web. It would be as silly as saying that you don’t need oceans because you have a bathtub. How nice your bathtub is. Try building a continent around it if you want to get my point.”
- Zelfpublicatie. Louis CK ‘deed een Radiohead’ en bracht de video-opnames van zijn stand-up show zelf uit. Geen DRM, geen tussenpartijen. En is nu niet alleen meer dan $200.00 rijker, maar ook duizenden en duizenden fans die hij nu rechtstreeks kan bereiken.
